Southern Belle is a made to order cupcakery specializing in gourmet cupcakes, special occasion cakes, caramel sheet cake, mouthwatering English Toffee, and cream pies. Every order is made fresh the day you have it delivered. We would welcome the oppportunity to serve you!
Many specialty shops pride themselves in using the best imported ingredients and products. Well, my pallet must not be as refined because frankly, I think we have the best products right here in the USA! 90% of the ingredients I use for cupcakes and other confections are produced or distributed right here in this great state of Texas. From the almonds I use in my toffee to the other nuts I use with cupcakes or cookies, all my dairy goods and many of my extracts and flavorings are out TX. I use Peter's Brand Covature chocolate and Guittard chocolate chips which are two of the few fine chocolates made in the USA. I support my local HEB which is a proud Texas grocery store chain based out of San Antonio. Hopefully in the near future we will be a member of the "Go Texan" community. About Ginger I was born and raised in Southeast Idaho. My husband and I moved to Texas five years ago when my husband took a new job. We fell in love with Texas the minute we arrived in the Amarillo Airport. We were embraced in that "southern hospitality" from the minute we moved to Stephenville in 2006! In 1984 at four years old, my parents opened their first bakery in Idaho Falls, Idaho. My dad would pull a step up to the cash register for me and I would get the take the quarters for coffee refills from our morning regulars. I then moved into the back where I would wash pans...(lot's of pans) to earn some allowance and at 14 went on the payroll as a "real" employee. I loved working at the "shop" as we called it and it was a wonderful way to grow up. It instilled in me a love for baking, good food, beautiful products and for people. I loved the people I worked with and our valued customers. As a stay at home mom I love being able to fulfill my passion by making beautiful cupcakes and all the rest to share with friends and the community. My husband Jared is in the dairy industry where he works for an AI company called ABS Global and we manage a ranch North of Morgan Mill. We have two kids, Hadley our four year old cowgirl who loves her horse "Chigger", playing dress up, singing, twirling and going to preschool a couple days a week. Don't let the dresses and bows fool ya, she's as gritty as they come. Our little Man Houston just turned one and is just trying to survive his big sissy! He is our sweet, even tempered little guy who just enjoys going along for the ride. We have five horses and a border collie. We love to team rope and rodeo when we get the chance and just enjoy the ranch and the Southern Lifestyle. With our extended family so far away there have been many friends who have "adopted" us and welcomed us to their families and this area. We love ya'll so much.
